The Question: When the irs does their own calculations of your crypto taxes, they can be wildly incorrect (no reconciliation of transfers which then become "capital gains", no accounting for fees, which for a day trader has a massive impact). Is it their job to "disprove" my tax results from Cointracking, when provided fully, or are they able to take the position that it's my job to attempt to reconcile their incorrect data line by line without knowing their process? It seems to me if I submit correct data, it's on them to accept it, or show me any error on my part. Which is it? (no need to read further). I'm looking for a reasonably affordable crypto tax pro, feel free to d.m.
Detail:
I submitted 8949. Irs responded with vastly different figures. For context, I used multiple exchanges and lost a ton of money day trading. Conversely, they say I gained the same amount, so their results are 200% off. We're talking about significant numbers, say a year's worth of income on each side. I spoke with a crypto CPA who said there are only a few people he works with (tax pro's) who have more of an understanding than I do about how to process taxes correctly. (I used Cointracking and have a degree in a math related discipline).
The irs asked for my details of cap gain/loss which I am in the process of preparing as well as responding to their incorrect data. (troubleshooting their results)
There are over 200k transactions which took me more than a year to reconcile on my side. There is no possible way for me to decipher where their errors are, and I've heard negative reviews of taxbit (the software they apparently use).
I don't know if they will accept my correct process, or tell me to disprove theirs, (and give me 10 days to do it, typical so far of the process). Any experience here? I'd like to hire a crypto CPA so they know they're dealing with a professional, with career liability. I don't know if I can find one for a reasonable cost with 200k+ transactions. Thanks.

So i have my pc connected through cabled powerlineadapters for a stable connection when gaming and such. however my internet speed really suffers from using the powerline. Now on my Xbox which is right next to my pc i also use powerline but when i want to install a game i take the cable out and let it use the WiFi to download because its way faster (200-300mb on WiFi vs around 50mb on powerline). The WiFi is a bit less stable than the powerlines which is why i use powerlines for gaming so i don't get any disconnects. Now for my PC i thought i should get a WiFi adapter as well since my motherboard doesn't have one itself. I tried a cheap one that could go up to 300mbps because it would be enough for me but it kept disconnecting all the time. Assuming that that was caused by using a cheap one i bought a better one (TP-Link Archer T9UH). Now this one also losing connection all the time. I tried everything in my knowledge to fix this but so far no succes. Please help.
Things i tried:

• Different USB ports
• Searching for drivers
• Uninstalling the device and usb ports in device manager and reboot the PC
• Network troubleshooting, network adapter troubleshooting

Since I spent the past few days researching and trying to find decent replacement earpads and fixing my EQ with them I thought I'd write down my experience for anyone in a similiar situation.

First about myself.
After about 3 years of using, and loving, my X2HR as my daily drivers for casual music listening and gaming, the velour layer on the stock earpads started coming off, so I decided it was time to get new earpads. Despite what I've seen around a lot, I was very satisfied with the comfort of the stock earpads and frankly even when the velour came off, they were still decently comfortable for me.
I'm pretty new to the audiophile world and care about decent quality sound but wouldn't go above and beyond to achieve the "perfect sound" for me. I just need something that works for the majority of the things I do and isn't grating. I don't use a DAC or Amp and even stopped using EQ entirely after switching to a motherboard with a seemingly better audio codec (Realtek ALC1200 compared to ALC887).

The Earpads
Initially I had no idea they could affect the sound this much. I was happy with the stock earpads, but since Phillips doesn't appear to sell them (anymore?), I chose a random pair of 20€ replacements on Amazon with decent reviews. Unfortunately, once they arrived I realised they just wouldn't work.
At the risk of misusing some terminology here, my main gripes were that the bass was too pronounced and the voices muffled to the point where I just couldn't live with them. I tried EQing them a bit, but it wasn't enough of an improvement to keep them.
Now, having experienced the bad side, I decided to do some research and the only quality brand I could find that was readily available to me in Germany were the Dekoni Choice Suede for 55€.
It's pricey, considering I spent <100€ on my X2HR, but the sound quality was noticeably better (and comfort was also improved, although that wasn't an issue for me with either the stock of the ones from Amazon for me). The bass was still stronger than on the stock earpads, but voices were no longer muffled so I decided to stick with them and try to "fix" it with EQ.

EqualizerAPO
As I mentioned above, I stopped using EQ on my X2HR with the stock earpads after switching motherboards as I was satisfied with how they sounded then, but the Dekoni earpads still didn't sound quite what I was looking for so I decided to EQ them a bit more.
Since any attempts at EQing myself failed, I looked for other presets to compare them with the default sound. For that I mainly compared these 2:

1. The Harman Target EQ for the X2HR by u/oratory1990 from this list.
2. A suggestion I randomly came across by u/justformygoodiphone on this post.

In the end I decided that the preset by u/justformygoodiphone was the best for me, although I had to make some changes to make it work.
If you'd like to copy it into the Configuration Editor, open the config file (open the Configuration Editor > File > Open > right click on "config.txt" > open) or find the "config.txt" file in [install directory]\EqualizerAPO\config\ .
Now, rather than the post suggests to simply copy paste it all in one line into the config file, I had to format it exactly like this:

Preamp: -6 dB Include: example.txt GraphicEQ: 20 10; 25 8; 31.5 4.9; 40 3; 50 1; 63 0; 80 0; 100 -1; 125 -1; 160 -1; 200 -1; 250 -1.7; 315 0; 400 0; 500 0; 630 0; 800 0; 1000 0; 1250 1; 1600 -1.5; 2000 0; 2500 0; 3150 2; 4000 2.5; 5000 -1.5; 6300 3.5; 8000 -1; 10000 -2; 12500 6; 16000 4; 20000 4 

If the filters aren't each on a seperate line, everything past "Preamp: -6 dB" will likely get ignored (see here for more info).
You can still use the Peace GUI, but keep in mind that " # Include: peace.txt " must be included in the config.txt file (it should be if you already installed Peace and added the above in a new line without removing it) and "Include: peace.txt" has to be enabled in the Configuration Editor prior to starting up Peace, as it will ask you to replace the entire config file if you don't, deleting the other preset entirely.
I'd imagine an alternative would be to add this preset to Peace, or vice versa adding the Peace presets to the Configuration Editor, but unfortunately I'm not smart enough to translate them properly (If anyone can do that in the comments it would be much appreciated!). But this at least works.

Voicemeeter and making it work with EqualizerAPO
Now, while I liked this preset it was just a bit too quiet. I didn't want to just increase the pre-amp, so I figured I'd use Voicemeeter Banana to increase my global gain, but after installing Voicemeeter Banana, setting it up and installing/configuring EqualizerAPO for the Voicemeeter drivers, I wasn't able to run them both at the same time.
If you run into the same issue, I was able to fix it by opening the EqualizerAPO configurator (the one to install drivers) > click on Voicemeeter Input > check "Troubleshooting options" in the bottom left > Change the dropdown menu to "Install as LXF/GFX".
This made it so I could adjust both the EQ in EqualizerAPO and the gain in Voicemeeter.

This is likely a very specific issue, but I figured I'd write it down anyway just in case somebody runs into similar problems and could be helped out by this. And as I said, I'm by no means an authority on the topic, so if you have suggestions or feedback I'd really appreciate it!

I'm looking to buy a new 3d printer in the U.S.
My current budget is $150-$200.
I can build from a kit, I have a lot of experience troubleshooting various printers and I'm pretty comfortable DIY-ing, but I don't have another printer with me so I can't just print new parts to build it with.
My main use of the printer would be to just print random useful or fun objects for around the house. (i.e. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3495390 or https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1743145 or https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2823006)
While I've used a lot of printers in the past, I've been spoiled with access to high-end printers for a while now via school. I'm traveling far enough away this summer though that just having my own printer to do most of my useful printing is necessary. It's been a while since owning my last printer (that was old in itself when I got it lol) so I wanted some advice on what's out there currently for my budget and skill level.

Just like everyone else I’ve been waiting for this day for years. With high hopes and excitement I dove in this morning and put in more hours than I should have in one day. But today was like Christmas morning. Only- the present wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. I understand this is an early access, but the number of bugs, very steep learning curves along with a lot of balancing issues; has left me frustrated.
On my first play through after a Brigand battle which resulted in several houses were reduced to rubble, bandits retreated and I was left with a dozen homeless families, no big deal was like “oh, cool! I can just rebuild” so I did, repaired the destroyed houses then built more to surplus my population so I could start grinding out my productions of weapons and shields. But after about 10 houses over what my population needed and two winters I was still staring at the red icons for homelessness icon and then the cold icon. So, I did what I do when I come to an issue, troubleshoot it. So, I saved and reloaded the game and the icons went away. SWEET! Back to building my village! Then came the issues of “how do animals work? Do I need a horse? A mule? An ox?” My hitching posts are open and have workers? But the ox I just bought is still at the trader waiting for work. Then finally after just figuring out the mechanics Im feeling better. All along baron von dufus is grabbing up all the land around me- “whatever dude go off, I’m building my Manor here and you can’t touch me!” But touch me he did- after 4.5 hours of building and stressing my land was claimed. And I was like nah dude, come fight me for it. But the fight wasn’t initiated due to me thinking he’d march in with troops and we’d fight. Nope- end scene. Better luck next time kiddo. Admittedly I was …angry. But whatever the show must go on! It’s Christmas!
Second play through- i came out swinging. Grid patterned roads with optimized market to house ratios, distance conscientious placement of all my resource buildings for high efficiency, blasting to level two houses and focusing on martial weapons and my rich deposits of iron. Cranking out tools like the Jersey shore. Making money, upgrading my manor, all the bells and whistles. Towers galore- my shining house on the hill. 200 population, food surplus despite my starting land having the fertility of one of the golden girls. Hell- I’ll even get some good juju from the church by tithing. 2.5k treasury, 3k in regional wealth, and all the influence I’d need to grab a piece of land for before the greedy baron does. And I got it! Next door neighbor- grass is greener on the other side! This will be my breadbasket. Start balancing the two towns- martial dominance on one side and hippy- peace love and understanding on the other. But here’s where it all spirals down into depression. New land- 15 families 22 houses. 9 people homeless again. No biggie- save, load continue. Not this time. Despite rinsing this 4 times in efforts to troubleshoot. Nada. So- next step delete all the houses that aren’t currently showing people living in them and then rebuild. So that’s works, cool. Then comes baron von poopy pants. “Gimme ur land Hippy!” Ha, not today old man. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I’ve got 3 militia archer units, polearms and some spearmen. Lets kill. He comes at me with 2 brigand bands, his retinue(Which was fully stacked) archers and a melee unit. Whatever- I’m a total war veteran. I can handle this. Ha! Nope. Apparently archers SUCK. I had 108 archers shooting point blank into one unit to weaken the flank. Mind you this was not an armored unit, or with shields. 18 guys charging into my spearmen with 108 archers raining down arrows they lost one guy before the charge was meet. Whatever, the spearmen can hold them here- redeploy the archers and hit their center from behind while my pole arms keep them busy. They didn’t do a damn thing. Now my spearmen are almost spent, and my polearms are getting hacked apart by the retinue of heavy armored douches. And my archers not like hot butter whenever someone farts their direction.
So- what do i do? Take my remaining guys and fall back to the manor! That’s what’s it’s there for right? Walls, towers? Big Ben looking mofo in the middle? It’s gotta provide some advantage, the towers even say garrisoned troops can shoot down on attackers? Ha wrong again sport. Words don’t mean things. My remaining guys get hammered and alllllll die inside my manors walls. Lost my breadbasket. Minor set back. Time marches on- focus on mailshirts, helmets, gambeson, and swords. i see that my units can use these things, but how…. oh how? no idea. also- why have a sidearm icon be a sword in the production queue but then an axe in the army selection tab? and how on earth do I replace my retinue? what good is plate armor in my warehouse if i cant recruit anyone to wear it? again- words don't mean anything. the unit combat system needs some work. archers need to be rebalanced, the unit recruitment system needs to be finished, please let there be more meaning to walls and towers.
dont get me wrong- im going to play the helll outta this tomorrow too. fresh eyes and and no rose colored glasses. im still VERY hopeful for what this game can be- its close. damn close to being exactly what so many of us have been looking for. For discussion what other issues have people seen?

My old setup had 0 problems worked flawlessly for 4 years but unfortunatly my current setup is quite troublesome.
Everything was bought on the 24th of March and was built on the 26-27th , at the time the PC actually worked I played some Metro Exodus , WoW SoD and some Dota 2.
Everything was fine untill I tried to play Witcher 3 next-gen the game would crash over and over which lead me to reinstalling the Nvidia drivers which failed to install and gave me my first BSOD (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL).
After reboot the PC would BSOD shortly after entering Windows with either IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL same as above and a new BSOD , ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY.
What I have tried so far in troubleshooting : Memtest86 10.0(free) pre-installed in ASUS UEFI , with default XMP 1 it gave out some errors but with a -200 to the frequency so 7400 , no errors still the PC didn't worked. Disable XMP & ASUS Multi-core enhancements , didn't do much. Bought another set of ram from another brand ; G.Skill 32 Gb 7200 @ 34CL 1.35V , same problems. Ran it stock and with XMP 1. Reseated everything , CPU RAM GPU & SSD , still no progress. Now I tried to reinstall Windows , I was sucessfull in wiping the drive however it now won't install , it keeps giving me and error message and brings me right back to the Install now menu. I don't know what to do anymore I have tried everything that I know and off quick google searches I am typing this post down on my phone looking at my 7000$ CAD black metal box with RGB(only thing working right now) feeling quite desperate.
*I am also past the 30 days return window from Amazon where I bought most of the componants.

Issue - 2012 iMac running Sonoma. iMac wired via ether to gig switch 3 feet away, switch wired to 1 Gig Internet.
No VPN - I get 850 Mbps down and 760 Mbps up. All good.
NordVPN or Proton VPN on: I get 210 Mbps down and 200 Mbps up. No good.
With the iMac on ether straight to the Gig router, I get the same speeds as above.
Now I also have a MacBook M2 Pro and I have the same software as the iMac but of course without OCLP installed.
No VPN - I get 850 ish Mbps down and 760 ish Mbps up. All good.
NordVPN or Proton VPN on: I get 800 ish Mbps down and 740 Mbps up. All good.
I've uninstalled the VPN software, removed the remaining remnants, rebooted and reinstalled the VPN software and my speeds drop 1/4 as in the first set of tests above.
What these tests show me is there's something nothing wrong with the OCLP patches as no VPN I get killer speeds. But as soon as VPN is on, speeds drop down to 200+ Mbps. So something with these VPN implementations using the Wireguard or any protocol is killing my speed.
But it's not just NordVPN, it's also Proton VPN and Privado VPN.
I just can't seem to sort out the very specific thing that causes this. It seems its VPN software related.

EVENT FAQs

• The Event Shop and Capsules appear after you’ve healed 30-70 tiles; after that a free Bronze Capsule can be collected every 3 hours.
• It takes 5 or 6 level 9 Life Orb of the Heavens to clear all the 5k+ land, depending on how much you heal by merging items off dead land.
• To collect both the full set of Points Prizes and any level of Rush Rewards, you will need to earn 29,950 points.
  • Reaching this amount requires 1x Level 9 points item, 1x L8 item, 2x L7 items, and 2x L6 items (or just aim for 2x L9 points items).
• There’s always enough material to merge by 3s when making Key items.
• Caves must be tapped to spawn a Zomblin; only one event Zomblin lives in each cave, and it turns into Stinky Cheese when killed.
• The Gold Capsule, Fallen Star, and Tanzanite Nest are hiding near the far edge of the map, on tiles requiring 50k energy to heal.
• Infinite Harvestables:
  • There are usually 9x Level 1, 3x L2, 1x L3, 2x L4, and 2x L5 Infinite Harvestables (Enchanting Buildings) on the map; you can delete one level 1 and one level 2 and still have enough to make a level 6, as long as you 5-merge whenever possible.
  • NOTE: An L6 Infinite Harvestable is used as a key in this event, but there is no dead land or required item behind it so it can safely be skipped and lower level IH can be deleted.
• Consumable/Limited Harvestables:
  • Each 1x2 Treasure Carpet can be harvested 25 times; 75 total harvests are needed to complete Quest 1.3.
  • Each harvest of the big 2x2 Sultan's Bounty at the back of the map yields a 10% chance of spawning an extra Treasure Carpet.
  • Once all available Treasure Carpets and the Sultan's Bounty are gone, there is no way to get more.
• Strategy advice:
  • Spending money or gems is never required to complete an event (including Rush Rewards), nor is it necessary to use an auto-clicker or other exploits.
  • The number and level of possible reward items is determined by your Event Portal level; working to raise that to its maximum of L16 is one of the best ways to boost your overall progress in the game
  • A good basic introduction to events is available here on the Fandom Wiki; there’s also some Wiki event guides and tips articles here and here, and a whole collection of general guides and tutorials here

  • For active players wanting more dragons, the Prism Flower method is a good option: Link 1, Link 2, Link 3. Note: this technique is only for active play; since only 2 dragons at a time will harvest when left on their own, having more will actually slow down idle harvesting.
  • A recently shared strategy using the Hills chain here can greatly increase Life Flower production, but it usually takes a few gems (maximum of 80, but less if you get some in capsules)

EVENT TROUBLESHOOTING

If the event is not showing up correctly or if glitches are affecting your play:

1. Check that you meet the version and dragon power requirements.
2. Try hard-closing and then relaunching your game.
3. Try rebooting your device (ie, turn it completely off, then back on and allow it to fully boot up before relaunching the game). If you are on wifi and have access to the router, try rebooting that, too.
4. Try switching to a completely different internet source.
5. Try clearing your game’s cache (google for instructions for your specific phone type).
6. If you’re suddenly experiencing multiple issues like lagging or error messages (or if the event vanishes completely), close the game and try again after 2-3 hours. Events are internet-based, and sometimes issues with the servers can cause temporary problems — all we can do for that is to wait it out.
7. If none of the above helps, contact Gram Games Support through the in-game link or the Support Web Portal for help figuring out what’s wrong.

• NOTE: Cloud Save is still unreliable: according to the developer, it is not safe to be used and should be left turned off.
• NOTE: Saving your Progress: Make sure to save your progress by traveling to the World Map screen (and waiting there until everything’s fully loaded) regularly, and especially before closing your game.
• Glitch: Missing sell/delete option If your task bar is missing the option to delete dimension jars or other items, you can start with the standard troubleshooting methods; if those don’t trigger a fix, replaying a few levels or working in your camp for a while have reportedly helped.
• Glitch: Event level only shows clouds If your event screen shows only clouds instead of the map, check that you are zoomed all the way out. If you are and it still won’t show, try collecting one of the free Bronze Capsules (you may need to wait for the timer to count down).
• Glitch: Missing rewards/Game crashes after collecting rewards Exiting directly from the event level to your Camp can trigger a crash and loss of items; always exit to the World Map screen first — and pause there until everything’s fully loaded — to trigger the game to save your progress, then enter your Camp.

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of help troubleshooting my setup of a new EasyMesh network.
I have an EX230v router (firmware 0.10.0) providing a main and a guest wifi for my home. I'm now trying to add an RE700X (firmware 1.1.4) as an EasyMesh agent. The setup process through the web UI worked as expected and reported success. I can see the RE700X listed as an agent on the overview screen for the router and listed as a device in the client list. However, devices that connect directly to the RE700X do not get internet access.
My RE700X agent has been assigned an IP address of 192.168.0.254, while my router has an IP address of 192.168.1.1, issues DHCP IP addresses in the 192.168.1.100 - 200 range, and my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. Devices connected to the RE700X agent can ping it and are issued IPs in the 192.168.0.* range.
To me, it seems like the problem here is that the RE700X agent is running a completely independent network with no route through to the internet, and either I need to reconfigure the router to incorporate traffic on the 192.168.0.* range (do I just change the subnet mask?), or the RE700X agent should be assigned an IP on the 192.168.1.* range and relay DHCP requests to the EX230v router.
I'm not really sure what is 'correct' for EasyMesh and why the setup process has given me a non-working network extension so looking for some knowledge on how it should look if it worked correctly and some tips on what to try to get the internet connection working through the EasyMesh agent.

My birthday gift for myself today was so take the Network+ exam, and fortunately I managed to pass. I have to say, while I was feeling sick from anxiety (I peed twice in the fifteen minutes leading up to the exam), I felt like I understood the material enough to pass.

Time taken: 1 hour and 15 minutes Score: 761/900 Questions: 2 PBQ, 78 MCQ (I will not specify what PBQs, but you can read on for other tips) Total dedicated study time: a little over 4 weeks, around 200 hours

With everything I've read on Reddit thus far, this exam got me quaking in my boots, hence why I threw everything I had at this exam while studying for it. I actually aimed for a 800+ score, but the second I realized how ambiguous the questions were on the actual exam, I was happy to settle for a pass. There was one question that I genuinely did not know the answer to, and one term that I've never seen before (which I seriously suspect was part of a seeded/unscored question). Also, there was one question that included the word "expedite", and as a non-native English speaker, I found myself frustrated that I did not know what that word meant. For all other questions, I was not at all unfamiliar with the terminology. The problem definitely lied in that I was struggling to understand HOW compTIA wanted me to interpret the question, more so than in both A+ exams. There were a lot of troubleshooting questions in which I personally thought that three of the given four answers could be applicable. I feel like I lost a lot of points on those questions. I would say there were only a handful questions on the exam where I confidently zeroed in on one, singular answer being correct.
