2024.04.29 08:40 discreetcouture A Guide to Safely Buying Lushentic Grade Replicas from China

A Guide to Safely Buying Lushentic Grade Replicas from China
Are you interested in purchasing high-quality replicas, also known as lushentic grade replicas, from China? While the market for replicas can be murky, with a bit of caution and the right approach, you can safely navigate the process. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you make your purchase confidently:
Research Reliable Sellers: Look for sellers with a good reputation for selling high-quality replicas. Check reviews on platforms like Reddit, forums, and replica review websites to gauge the seller's credibility.
Request Pre-Shipment Photos: Before seller ships the products, ask the seller for detailed photos of the replica. This includes photos of the item from different angles, close-ups of logos, and any specific features you want to verify. This helps ensure that the item matches the description and meets your expectations.
Check for Authenticity Markers: Compare the photos provided by the seller with authentic items online. Look for details like logo placement, stitching quality, and overall craftsmanship. This will help you determine the accuracy of the replica.
Use Secure Payment Methods: Always pay with a credit card or a secure payment platform that offers buyer protection. This way, if the item is not as described or if the seller fails to deliver, you can dispute the transaction and potentially get your money back.
Communicate Clearly with the Seller: Before finalizing the purchase, communicate clearly with the seller about your expectations regarding the item's quality, packaging, and shipping method. This helps avoid misunderstandings and ensures a smoother transaction.
Be Wary of Unrealistic Prices: While replicas are cheaper than authentic items, be cautious of sellers offering prices that seem too good to be true. Extremely low prices may indicate low-quality replicas or scams.
Read the Seller's Policies: Familiarize yourself with the seller's return and refund policies. This will help you understand your options in case the item is damaged during shipping or if you're unhappy with the quality.
Monitor Your Purchase: Once you've made the purchase, stay in touch with the seller and track your package. This way, you can address any issues that may arise during shipping promptly.
Remember, purchasing replicas is a personal choice, and it's essential to be aware of the legal implications in your country. As far as we know, the TWO countries that prohibit replicas from the importing customs are Japan, and South Korea. Following these steps can help you make a more informed decision and ensure a safer buying experience.

2024.04.29 08:39 misunderstoodxgeniux When did you first realize that there was something off about your family?

My wedding is coming up next month and it’s safe to say that a lot of my childhood trauma has been resurfacing since I’ve been doing so much collaborating with family and childhood friends I’ve distanced my self from.
I grew up in a beautiful home and never had to worry about money, resources, or safety. Up until about the fifth grade I thought my family was relatively perfect. My father ended up passing when I was 15 and my mom couldn’t parent through her grief so I spent the rest of high-school couch surfing and living with my boyfriend’s parents. My mom now claims it was because I had a bad attitude. We have since healed our relationship for the most part.
Now that I’m an adult. I have been looking back on my childhood and have started realizing that there ware some really odd things that happened. At the time they made me uncomfortable but I couldn’t articulate exactly what was wrong. Nothing tremendously fucked up but things along the lines of no one speaking for several days at a time. Like literally not word. Including my siblings and my self. My dad disappearing for days at a time. My mom having seemingly random outburst of yelling and crying… but to this day I couldn’t really tell you what prompted any of it?
I have been in therapy since my dad died and my therapist always tells me it’s odd that I don’t miss my dad at all but couldn’t tell you why. in the several years that he’s been dead I haven’t extensively cried or wished that he was still alive. I also can’t think of him doing anything to warrant such hate?
Does anyone else have a childhood that they have some mental blocks with? How did you realize something was wrong and how long did it take you to work through it?

2024.04.29 08:36 SorryToPopYourBubble The Phoenix Suns: A Legeacy of Failure (2023-24 Update)

1968-69: You enter the league alongside the Milwaukee Bucks and proceed to go 16-66. One of the worst records in NBA history. On the bright side, you might be the #1 pick.
1969-70: You lose the #1 pick to a tiebreaker coin toss to the Bucks. That #1 pick becomes the 2nd-greatest scorer in NBA history. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. You get a consolation prize though. Getting beaten in 7 games by the Lakers.
1970-71: Settle into mediocrity to change the decade. Enjoy this middling futility for the next 5 years
1975-76: Holy shit you did it. Inside a decade of your young existence, you make the NBA Finals.....In which you get smoked in 6 by the Celtics juggernaut. Next year is your time though
1976-77: Your time to go 34-48 and miss the playoffs.
1977-78: Rebound into a first series 2-0 best of 3 loss to those fucking Bucks
1978-79: The best season in franchise history at this point. 50-32 and you breeze past the Kansas City Kings in the semifinals. All that stands in your way is the Seattle SuperSonics......Who go on to rip your heart out in Game 7 and then smoke Washington in 5 in the Finals.
1979-80: You are even BETTER this year! 55-27! and holy shit the Lakers clap your cheeks in 5. Remember that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar guy you got screwed out of? Yeah, the Bucks traded him to the Lakers back in 1975 thus making it your problem.
1980-81: For the first time in your history you win your division and take the 1 seed. 57-25! Nothing can stop you.
1980-81 Semi-Finals: You lost. In 7 games. To the Mickey Mouse organization known as the Kings
1981-82: You are in decline now and get swept by the Lakers in the Semis. Bet you wish you'd won that coin toss right about now.
1982-83: This is probably your last real chance at a championship for a while. 53-29 and just have to beat the Nuggets for a date with the Spurs. In typical Suns fashion you fucked it up.
1983-84: You are 41-41 and somehow crash-landed in the playoffs again. Just take the first round loss and get out.
1983-84 First Round: Wait what? You beat the Trail Blazers 3-2?
1983-84 Semi-Finals: AND you beat the Jazz in 6 despite them owning you in the regular season? A trip to the Conference Finals is in your future
1983-84 Conference Finals: The clock strikes midnight on the Cinderella story as the Lakers make you their bitch for the 3rd time in 5 seasons.
1984-85: Make that a 4th time in 6 seasons and they sweep you a 2nd time.
1985-88: You are trash after a decade of chasing a championship. But it won't be long before a new chance arises
1988-89: Alright fuck this shit you are here for BLOOD THIS TIME. 55-27!
1988-89 First Round/Semi-Finals: You destroy the Nuggets and Warriors. Now is the time
1988-89 Conference Finals: TIME TO GET SWEPT BY THE LAKERS AGAIN
1989-90: Another 54 win season and another shot at glory! THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT!
1989-90 First Round: You squeak past a Jazz team and your prize is. Oh dear god not them again. NO!
1989-90 Semi-Finals: You DID IT. You finally beat those cocksuckers from Los Angeles in a series! In 5 games no less!
1989-90 Conference Finals: You turn this triumph into misery by being eliminated in 6 games by the Portland Trail Blazers. Fuck.
1990-91: You squander 55-27 again by being beaten 3-1 by the Jazz. It must be nice to have this many years of talent and not get a damn thing out of it.
1991-92: You sweep the Spurs. Remember that name. Course now Portland is back and bitch slaps you in 5.
1992-93: Shit needs to change! Heres a Charles Barkley to lead you to the promised land and by god does it work. Barkley wins MVP and you go 62-20
1992-93 First-Round to Conference Finals: You slay your sleep paralysis demon in the Lakers and edge past the Spurs and the team that robbed you of a championship back in 78 in the SuperSonics. For the 2nd time in your history you are going to the NBA Finals
1992-93 NBA Finals: You run into the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls 3peat buzzsaw and lose in 6. This definitely won't be the end of your window though
1993-94: It was the end of your window. Hakeem knocks you out in route to a ring.
1994-95: Last year was brutal for you guys. You get consolation though. Losing to the Rockets again. They win the championship again.
1995-96: You have a new sleep paralysis demon. It's name is the Spurs. Charles Barkley fucks off for the Rockets via trade.
1996-97: The SuperSonics also crush your balls in a vice because this is Phoenix and if you aren't regularly getting beaten by Seattle you are the Diamondbacks and you've won a championship unlike the other 3 teams in Phoenix. But at least you drafted Steve Nash.
1997-98: Lose to the Spurs in the first round again for reasons of Texas owns this franchise.
1998-99: Trade Steve Nash to the Dallas Mavericks after the 1998 NBA Draft because you are fucking idiots. Your reward for this incompetence is being swept by Portland
1999-2000: You actually beat the Spurs in a playoff series. Only to then lose to WHAT DO YA KNOW! THE FUCKING LAKERS. Least you drafted this Shawn Marion guy.
2000-2001: The Jason Kidd experiment ends as you lose another playoff series to your other overlords from California. The now Sacramento Kings.
2001-2002: You can't lose in the first round if you don't even make them!
2002-2003: Heres this Amar'e Stoudemaire guy. Oh and another First Round exit to the fucking Spurs
2003-2004: 29-53. You are trash. Something needs to CHANGE NOW!
2004-2005: The answer is to ask the Mavericks to give you Steve Nash back and make Mike D'Antoni the full-time head coach. He wins MVP and for the 2nd time in team history you go 62-20
2004-2005 First Round-Semi-Finals: You swept the Grizzlies and made Dallas pay for giving Nash back. Only a brick wall could stop you.
2004-2005 Conference Finals: It's name is the Spurs
2005-2006: It's ok because you came back on strong and have another shot at the crown with Nash winning his 2nd MVP in as many years.
2005-2006: First Round-Semi-Finals: You barely survive a double attack from the Los Angeles duo of the Lakers and Clippers and all that is in your way is the Mavericks team you crushed a year before
2005-2006 Conference Finals: Revenge is a bitch as the Mavericks assblast you in 6
2006-2007: 61-21. 1st seed for the 3rd straight season. For the love of god this has to be the year
2006-2007 First Round: You beat the living shit out of the Lakers in 5 games! The dragon is dead!
2006-2007 Semi-Finals: YOU LOST TO THE FUCKING SPURS AGAIN???????
2007-2008: It's time to make a move. Shawn Marion is tired of being dangled over the trading block like a juicy steak. SEND HIM TO MIAMI TO BRING IN THE WASHED UP REMAINS OF SHAQ
2007-2008 First Round: You didn't lose to the Spurs in 6 games this time! You lose to them in 5.
2008-2009: Miss the playoffs entirely as the most notable thing Shaq does is win All-Star Game MVP
2009-2010: Trade the malignant cancer to the Cavaliers and rebound to a 54-28 3 seed in the West.
2009-2010 First Round/Semi-Finals: You channel dark magic to slay your demons in the Spurs and Trail Blazers. Dare we hope?
2009-2010 Conference Finals: YOU. LOST. ANOTHER. FUCKING. SERES. TO. THE. LAKERS.
2010-2020: The wheels completely fucking fall off as Steve Nash leaves and you wander the desert until at last a new core forms behind DeAndre Ayton, Devin Booker, and a MASSIVELY overpaid poorly aging Chris Paul
2020-2021: To no real surprise after barely being under .500 the season before you charge into the playoffs as the 2 seed.
2020-2021 First Round-Conference Finals: You allow the sports world to laugh at LeBron James crying like a bitch, obliterate the Nuggets and the league MVP, and then survive a series with the Clippers where Patrick Beverly tries to assassinate every member of the starting lineup. For the 3rd time in team history. You are going to the NBA Finals.
2020-2021 NBA Finals: You proceed to become one of less than 35 teams to blow a 2-0 series lead and you do it to the team that got Kareem instead of you all those years ago. The Milwaukee Bucks.
2021-22: You are destroying teams left and fucking right. Devin Booker is an MVP candidate. Monty Williams wins Coach of the Year. The hunger drives you to a franchise-record 64-18 record and no team that has been 8 games better than the rest of the league has EVER failed to win it all. AT LAST THE SUNS WILL RISE AS CHAMPIONS!
2021-22 First Round: Ok that series against New Orleans was a little disappointing but it's ok. The 8 seed is a tune-up series 99% of the time and Monty broke momentum by resting the starters. You'll be fine. It's only the Mavericks next. Beat them and worry about whoever wins the 2 seed-3 seed series.
2021-22 Semi-Finals: What ensues is perhaps the greatest travesty this franchise has ever committed against its fans. Up 2-0 the Suns proceed to be obliterated the rest of the series before a 43 point loss in Game 7. All the hype, statistics saying it was a LOCK, broken records, and everything is destroyed before your very eyes. Worse this might've been your last chance as Chris Paul's albatross of a contract has you deep in the shit and unable to pay guys like DeAndre Ayton. YOU BLEW IT!!!!!!!!!
2022-23: Congratulations! Robert Sarver has been removed from power! Celebrate this by massively overpaying DeAndre Ayton and then looking like you are running in place like a hamster on a hamster wheel. Jae Crowder is being a little bitch about Cam Johnson being on the team. It's time to make a move. Trade Crowder, Johnson, and Mikhail Bridges to the Nets in exchange for Kevin motherfucking Durant. He immediately gets injured 2 games after showing up. The end result is a 45-37 record and a team that wouldn't have made the playoffs if the Western Conference didn't shit itself.
2022-23 First Round: You expended all your luck to barely win every game you won causing the most unconvincing 5-game series win in recent memory against a Clippers team that had no Paul George and no Kawhi Leonard. You are going to do it again aren't you?
2022-23 Semi-Finals: ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? You can't win in Denver. The refs hate you the entire series. The NBA refuses to suspend Jokic because fuck you that's why. AND YOU GET BLOWN THE FUCK OUT AT HOME TO LOSE THE SERIES A SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR? DO YOU HAVE NO FUCKING SHAME?

2023-24 Offseason: The fans are justifiably pissed at Monty Williams. This guy just stands on the sidelines being carried by high-end talent and turns into a potato when shit hits the fan. Get fucking fired and replaced by the massively overrated clown and ex-LeBron puppet that is Frank Vogel. Then send a bag of 2nd round picks and more bench pieces and the King of Choking to the Wizards in exchange for Bradley Beal.

If you'd stopped here you might've won something. Instead, you listen to the cry for blood again. The fans are pissed at DeAndre Ayton. He is a bum they say. After so many years he should've become an elite big man they say. They aren't exactly wrong but what you do is ASSININE. GET IN ON THE THREE-TEAM TRADE THAT SENDS AYTON TO PORTLAND, DAMIAN LILLARD TO MILWAUKEE, AND JUSUF NURKIC TO PHOENIX. CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE GOTTEN A BIG MAN WHO IS ALMOST 50% WORSE AT SCORING AND REBOUNDS AT ABOUT THE SAME CLIP.

2023-24 Season: What ensues is entirely predictable. You have no defense. Your bench is being carried by Grayson Allen doing his best bargain-brand Steph Curry impersonation. Bradley Beal is clearly getting old and Durant and Booker simply cannot score enough to consistently drag this team to victory resulting in a 49-33 season where you barely avoid the new-fangled play-in bullshit

2023-24 First Round: You get mauled by a Minnesota Timberwolves team that is somehow good and are swept in the first round. Half the fandom is blaming Devin Booker again like its somehow his fault that the front office thinks NBA team structure is a math problem they are only allowed to give wrong answers for. Another chunk of it pretends the writing isn't on the wall that this team is about to collapse. Then there's the realists that know its offer. All the hopes. All the dreams. Lying in ruin yet again.

I've been critical of this team in the past as this is the 3rd or 4th year I've updated this Legacy of Failure but this may truly be the end of the window. This was it. All-in or bust. A team that hit 20 at blackjack and said "hit me" instead of taking their winnings. Now where are they. A team WELL over the cap sinking endless cash into 3 players without the skill pieces for it to matter. There is no defensive prowess. No bench depth. There isn't even a quality big man unless you count rebounding as all a center should be doing. It's just Booker, Durant, Beal...and Durant will be 36 next year and Beal is about to be 31 and in VISIBLE DECLINE. The only option I see at this point is to just launch the nukes into the rotten structure. Trade Durant and Beal for whatever you can get and tank your asses off in the hope you can form a more decently built core around Booker...course even if you pull that off you'll still have to contend with a multitude of resurgent teams like the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder. You blew another golden window for success doing the same old shit that always costs you in the end.

and as a long-time fan of this team who knows damn well the Suns are the NBA equivalent of the Atlanta Falcons with the winning history of the Minnesota Vikings. I may legitimately cry if Oklahoma City, Denver, or Minnesota win this years Finals. The Thunder haven't won since they were the SuperSonics. Denver would be a repeat champion despite a history of being trash. Minnesota would be yet another fucking team leaving the championshipless club while the Suns remain entrenched in it despite having so many chances to win that they should probably be a top 5 team in terms of championships won. I can't take anymore of watching team after team finally win while the Suns keep punching us in the dicks.

Prompt 1: Ergodic Literature
Title: The Maze of Whispers
In a dimly lit room, there sat an old man named Professor Bartholomew, surrounded by books that seemed to teeter on the edge of chaos. He was known for his eccentricities and fascination with ancient tomes. The assignment for the day was a peculiar one - ergodic literature. He urged us to create a narrative that required effort beyond typical reading.
I closed my eyes, picturing a world where whispers held the secrets of existence. My protagonist, Lydia, stumbled upon an old, tattered book bound with a lock of silver. As she flipped through the pages, the words whispered to her in faint echoes, inviting her deeper into their labyrinthine secrets.
Lydia soon realized that reading wasn't enough; she had to engage with the text physically. The words wove a path, guiding her through an intricate maze of passages that twisted and turned with each decision. Every choice she made altered the narrative, leading to different outcomes, each branching into new, uncharted territories.
The book's world was alive, responding to Lydia's touch, her emotions, her doubts, and her courage. It demanded her presence, her active participation, pushing her beyond the boundaries of passive reading. The more she interacted, the more the story revealed its enigmatic nature, challenging her perception of reality.
As Lydia ventured deeper, the whispers intensified. They weren't just words anymore; they were living entities, shaping the very essence of her being. She found herself in a struggle to escape the maze of whispers that threatened to consume her entirely.
In the end, she discovered that the book was a reflection of her own soul, a manifestation of her inner struggles and desires. To break free, Lydia had to confront her fears and make peace with the cacophony of whispers that echoed within her mind.
The story unfolded as a journey of self-discovery, where the reader became an active participant, navigating the maze alongside Lydia, feeling the weight of each decision and experiencing the consequences firsthand.
Professor Bartholomew applauded the class for their imaginative takes on ergodic literature, emphasizing how our narratives required readers to engage beyond the surface, encouraging a deeper level of interaction with the text. The assignment opened doors to a realm where the act of reading transcended mere observation, transforming into a collaborative journey between the author, the characters, and the reader.
This exercise challenged my perceptions of storytelling, igniting a newfound appreciation for the intricate dance between the written word and the reader's participation, leaving me eager to explore more unconventional narrative styles in the future.

2024.04.29 08:23 CryptographerFancy54 how do you write/make up a chord progression?

i have to ask here too, i’m sorry if it doesn’t fit or isn’t the right place to post but i need help with chords progression cause that’s the thing:
my teacher gave me an exercise, i’m just playing for few months now. i have to write/find chords that sound good together, he told me to try and make up a minor progression and a major progression in the key of G major (for example starting the minor progression starting with its relative minor).
Now could you please me give me some examples of chords progressions (min and maj) that sound good? cause i have no idea how to do that and i think i don’t have enough “experience” to even try it 😅
for example and to give you an idea of what i mean (?), during the lesson he tried to show me an example using D major and for the minor progression he started from its minor relative so it went like:
B minor (that he wrote like I grade) G major ( VI ) A major ( VII ) and then B minor again.
so it was ( I grade, VI grade, VII grade and I grade again )
for the major progression he wrote/put together D major ( I grade ) A major ( V ), G major ( IV ) and A major again.
Now starting from this i still have no idea how to put together nice chords or even know if the grades in romans will be the same? cause maybe i missed it but i don’t really know how do you use them.
It would help me so much cause it would give me a better idea of how these things go. 🙏
(then he even told me to write a melody on those progressions, using the natural minor scale for the minor progression and the ionian scale for the major progression but that’s a whole another story and i don’t know if it’s too much to ask)

2024.04.29 08:15 main_tojo Is this a mental disorder?

Hiii! I recently finished my finals of master's and been preparing for another prof exams due in November. I have had severe depression episodes which started around mid 2020 COVID times. I also have PCOS from last 8 yrs and that has affected my mood severely so many times. I have always been good at studies but during COVID i isolated myself and lost focus and because of that I failed multiple times and couldn't maintain my grades and i think that one was one of the main reason I slipped into depression. At first few months I just ignored all the feelings and emotions and diverted myself with food and computers, I have always had very toxic relationship with food even since childhood. I have always eaten too much when I am emotional and then regretted about it so this also had the effect on depression. Since than I am doing pretty much better but every month there are just few days where i feel too much sad and depressed and find myself crying to sleep.I wanted to know if it's normal for other people? Does this happen to everyone that they have few down days in month. Also ln last few months I have been very indecisive from smallest things to very big decisions about my career I take so much time deciding, relationship with food is still little toxic but I know now when I am eating out of heavy emotions and also such episodes are much lower now than before, I doubt myself at each and every day and specially about my career choices, I feel overwhelmed with how much I have to do and still not ended up doing it.I do get done things that I have to do but i avoid it till the last moment which what I used to do but I care about things now that i just simply ignored it. Like right now I have to do assignments and done with my practicals but instead of that I am writing this long ss para. I don't really understand what is happening to me,is this common? And do I just have to get through this. I think I feel this is not depression but some other disorder or ADHD but idk much about it know really. If anyone can tell me what should I do?
Also I just want add this, thankyou in advance whoever replies, and if you're wondering why am I not asking this to a therapist because I can't really afford it, it's too expensive even for a one session for me rn.

2024.04.29 07:41 ria_learns_ A long (and vulnerable) post ahead.

A long (and vulnerable) post ahead.
Have any books changed your life? (Kinda long and vulnerable post ahead)
I used this journal prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co and I was so excited to write this journal entry. It’s not a secret to people that know me that I am a Potterhead through and through.
The Harry Potter series changed my life. I was 11 when I first read the Philosopher’s Stone and I couldn’t help but relate to Harry. I had things going on in my life then that made me totally relate to Harry. My parents separated. Suddenly I was moving to a new city, transferring to a new school, and suddenly living with relatives that I’ve only met a couple of times in my life and of course I had bullies in my life too (some relatives were my Dursleys and some classmates were my Crabbe and Goyle LOL). Two of my cousins were a lot older than me but found it worth their time to be mean to someone younger and going through some difficult things (I no longer talk to these people) and some classmates were just assholes, LOL. But they didn’t scare me at all. I pitied them, because I knew I was magical. 🥰
Some teachers were my McGonagalls - strict, but they cared and wanted the best for me, and some were my Madam Hoochs - encouraged me to fly (not literally of course). And last but not the least, a family friend was my Molly Weasley. She was so caring to me and loved me as if I was her own blood. I will never forget her and I’ll always be grateful for her.
Annnd finally, during my 1st year of High school I found my “Gryffindor first years” people. These were the Potterheads and the Anime lovers. I got more and more confident. I had people to talk to about things now! And it was great! 🥰 A few of these people are still very dear friends until now. I will always be grateful that our common interest made us stick together. (By the way I’m a slytherin. I just used the “Gryffindor first years” as an analogy. But you get it! 😂
Anyway, if you’ve read up until this point, thank you for your patience and attention. 🥰 Have a great Monday!

2024.04.29 07:31 Jazzlike-Bowler-7330 Easiest units ever

I am an incoming exchange student taking a couple engineering courses for my degree but also have to take 2 other classes that won’t count for me degree at all so I am looking for the easiest courses just to pass as my grades do not count as an exchange student I only g egg assessed on a pass/fail basis. So I am looking for units that will take up the least of my time and are stupidly easy
Preferably something with easy/ open book exams or just assignments, not huge fan of writing essays but if it’s an easy unit I’m not opposed to writing.
Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated

2024.04.29 07:28 n-pentane It's been 5 years and I am still alive!!!!

I was a jee aspirant when I was in 12th grade. I will tell you now how I was the nerdiest topper to ever exist on this planet before 10th grade, my teachers used to lick my ass on ptm and my parent's whole personality was that their son was a topper. Now I will tell you how I tried exploring life in 11th grade and learning skills which was met with instant backlash because of my parents forcing me to study. I hated how toxic my parents were and left my home to rent a new house in a new city living by myself with a part time job I did at night after attending coaching my whole day. When I gave my jee mains I scored 7 percentile, a score so bad that I would have scored more if I didn't attempt any questions. Now my life didn't mean anything to me, I was not even suicidal and I am probably making shit up to post or worse get karma and validation about something that never happened. In my next session of jee mains I scored 99 percentile making the biggest comeback in the history and because of this people should praise me in the comments and throw all the common sense out of the window. I loved programming but I took architecture for some reason by ATTEMPTING B TECH EXAM even tho I used to jizz over the computer when I was code in front of my screen. This just shows that I'm not only the biggest chutiya to ever exist if that percentile thing ever happened but also I am so autistic I can't even write a sensible story. Now I will give you guys fake motivation so that It doesn't feel like I was trying to flex my achievements (if you consider my dumb story to be true and if you do you probably had a lobotomy before). If you are struggling from depression and suicidal thoughts you can talk to me but now I will shit talk ever person who questions my ridiculous story and try to look like the innocent one.
Context: satire of https://www.reddit.com/JEENEETards/comments/1cfpdsa/its_been_6_years_now_and_im_alive/ If you think you actually are suicidal or depressed know that this is just an exam and not the end of the world. I have noticed the influx of such posts which just ends up damaging your confidence and self worth, being motivated by success stories is great but also puts unnecessary pressure on already stressed mind. Put everything you've got so you don't have regrets with the future and own your mistakes. At the end of the tunnel you'll rise a strong and better human being, and consider talking to someone who can understand you and you think can understand your situation, it will get better! Cheers.

2024.04.29 07:25 horaceman2024 Few Tips for Writing a Attractive Letter of Recommendation [LOR] ?

There are a few guidelines and points to be kept in mind while writing a letter of recommendation. These guidelines help the admissions committee to get a detailed insight on the applicant and the relevance of the recommendation. So when you ask anyone to write a recommendation for you, ensure it contains the following elements:
  1. Nature of Relationship: A brief explanation about their relationship with you. The letter should mention about how long have they known you and in what capacity have you interacted –advisor, mentor, faculty, teacher, supervisor or colleague.
  2. Direct vs. Indirect Observation: An emphasis on the observation being direct or indirect. It always has a positive impact if the observations are direct as that gives a clear understanding of the extent of interaction. For example, working directly is important and adds more value than being known through someone and having worked together remotely. Things like “I know hehim and observed them while working in a group headed by Mr. Y”. In this, the recommender only observed you working in another group led by someone else who is actually not writing the recommendation.
  3. Assessment of Eligibility and Suitability: LOR should carry a very accurate assessment of your eligibility and suitability for the course/program/study. Emphasis should be more on suitability rather than the recommender sounding more of like an advocate. For example, the recommender should mention how you fared in class about a relative course of interest/ rank position like top 3 or top 1% of the class/university.
  4. Avoidance of Grades or Scores: A recommendation letter should never mention any grades or scores of competitive testsunless required to interpret some academic details. These are already mentioned in your application and repeating them in an LOR is a big No.
  5. Handling Private or Sensitive Information: Any private or sensitive information on you should be included only if it has any relevance or unless considered absolutely necessary.
  6. Qualities and Contributions to the University: The recommendation letter should mention about the qualities and unique contributions that you would bring to the university – what positive changes, impact and new learning would you be able to contribute towards. Comparison information helps strengthen your LOR if it's provided with examples of true context and has a rationale for the comparison. For instance, a mention about how many among the ‘X’ number of students in a class taught by the recommender, you, the applicant, stood out (with examples of initiatives taken by you.)
  7. Letter of Recommendation Template: You can refer to various templates and Letter of Recommendation formats. These will help you structure your LOR.

5 Quick tips to write a LOR

Writing a LOR for the first time can be a bit confusing, so here are some tips for writing a strong letter of recommendation:
  1. Know your candidate well: If you are writing a LOR for someone, it’s better to be familiar with their work, skills, strengths and achievements.
  2. Know the purpose of writing a LOR: Understanding why institutions need a LOR is also important. Because purpose defines goals, and goal defines structure. So if you know the purpose before you start.
  3. Keep it concise: While you want to be thorough, it's also important to be concise. Aim for a full, single page if possible. Being able to communicate effectively and efficiently is valued.
  4. Take the help of Letter of Recommendation samples: You can refer to various LOR samples for structure ideas.
  5. Highlight key qualities: Focus on qualities that are highly valued in the candidate's desired field or position, such as leadership, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and discipline.
Also, do check if a Letter of Recommendation for a master's or bachelor. Language and goals might change with the course as well.
Words of Wisdom
In a nutshell, the best recommendation letter comes from someone who agrees freely and is not forced to write. For instance, what’s the point in getting someone to write a recommendation who is short of time, too busy and ends up writing 50 words instead of 200- 250 words?
A vague, messed up and hastily written letter is worse than writing nothing. A recommendation should come from someone who has the authority and designation, which would add weightage to the letter. Thus, be very wise when choosing someone to write you a recommendation letter.
Many a times an applicant gets the recommendation done by someone whom they’ve had the rapport and ease to work with rather than someone who is a tough mentor and difficult to work with.
Therefore, it is important that you have a detailed meeting prior and mention the need of a recommendation letter before putting a formal request for the same. A brief note, synopsis of the course and interest should be well known to the recommender before writing your letter of recommendation. Just ensure that you provide clear and accurate dates of association.
A well-written constructive recommendation letter goes a long way in helping your application get through. If you need any guidance regarding your letter of recommendation, feel free to reach out to our counsellors who are more than willing to help you out.

2024.04.29 07:21 WhyAmIinABadMood_13 I yelled at my sister's tutor and I don't regret it.

(sorry, English isn't my first language)
A couple weeks ago, my younger sister was having a lot of troubles with Math in grade 9. Her calculation and logical skills are quite slower than most of her classmates, she sometimes forgets some important formulas, and as the oldest sibling, I offered to teach her and corrected her mistakes whenever I can. But all of that wasn't enough because I don't have any experience in teaching, so our mother decided to hire a Math tutor. Let's call him Tom.
My sister's grades has changed positively ever since Tom came to our house each day to teach her. But I also noticed how tired and gloomy she looks after each tutoring sessions. She has always been very optimistic and silly, rarely takes anything seriously, so seeing her like this concerned me a lot.
Yesterday, I went home in the afternoon and saw Tom tutoring and helping my sister with her Math homework. Everything was normal, until he checked her calculations and suddenly yelled at her when she got some of them wrong. Not only that, he snatched the eraser from her hand and erase the mistakes aggressively, then said: "You're even slower than a 5 year-old!". After that, he proceeded to yell at her to write and think faster, calling her slow, stressing her out, and comparing her progress to his other students the whole time. I was shocked. A few seconds later, he explained something from her homework really quickly and suddenly yelled at her again when she was just asking him to explain it a little slower for her to understand. At that point, my sister looked like she was about to cry, and I was obviously annoyed after seeing his unprofessional attitude. So, I confronted him and yelled: "Calm the fuck down! You're stressing her out!"
At the end of the day, our mother found out what happened when Tom told her, and grounded me for a month. I tried to explain to her that he was verbally abusing my sister when he should've been more patient with her like a teacher would. But our mother didn't care, she defended him and told me that his methods are effective and even encouraged him to be more strict with my sister.
I don't regret yelling at him, but what are your thoughts on this asshole?

2024.04.29 07:04 sshweatty I'm Salty

TLDR: There is no desired result from writing this message. There is no benefit to reading this message. I'm salty.
I graduated from UCLA with a 3.6 UGPA in June 2023 with my bachelors in Business Economics and I have no relevant work experience to start in any financial profession. I passed the level 1 CFA exam in February and am currently studying for Level 2 at the same time as studying for the FRM certification and the LSAT (my mom wants me to try to pursue law, I don't know how feasible that is given the circumstances). I have a part-time job at a local retail shop where I live In college to at least be employed. The pay is the minimum wage in California. I started a business with a friend and we released our website last week. (just for detail, all the products are developed my us but they are produced overseas.) I asked him to create it for fear of being unemployed after school.
I'm salty that most of my friends who majored in some social sciences took classes where the median grade was an A have jobs and I don't. I'm salty that almost everyone with 3 months more experience than myself before I graduated when the previous 4 years don't matter to hiring managers. I'm salty that I didn't try harder to get a summer internship. I'm salty that experience matters more than knowledge. I'm salty because I didn't realize that an internship was the only thing I needed to get a job after college and I decided to make sure my tuition money wasn't going to be used for taking dance classes or taking the minimum amount of classes every year. I'm salty I listened to my parents when they said my only priority should be school and I can find work after. I'm salty that is easier to make a business than to be accepted into one. I'm salty that I have to read articles like this and pretend that everything is going to "figure itself out": https://www.wftv.com/news/trending/google-announces-more-layoffs-will-relocate-some-jobs-overseas/KY6KTJNBTJHJRIKGCZ42RPFKC4/?outputType=amp. I'm salty that my ambition will be overlooked but the people who get to the final round of an interview can have the luxury of canceling the interview to spontaneously take a month-long trip to some of the most extravagant places in the world. I'm salty that I applied to 1,200 openings and only heard back from commission-based employers. I'm salty that trying too hard makes you look desperate, but not trying hard enough will obviously never work. I'm salty that my skills and knowledge are being wasted and as I age, I become more and more obsolescent because newer graduates will take positions that I want and I will lose the benefits that come with youth. I'm salty that everyone seems to have it better than me, while I live in my old bedroom complaining on Reddit that I can't find a job. I'm salty that people say it's super competitive right now, but somehow have it easy for themselves because they can afford to have a family. I'm salty that people don't think it was this competitive in the past when everyone had to compete as much then as we do now. I'm salty that my only friend doesn't want to be around me because I'm "not fucking cool enough". I know I sound like a lil betch, I deserve the hate and resentment. I deserve to be called nasty names like entitled, arrogant, and naive, but I can't help being salty.
