Paranormal the New Normal Ft Bob Coppes, NDE Expert & Author
Welcome back to another early edition weekend interview watchers, I am being joined by Bob Coppes, Near Death Experience(NDE) Expert & Author. Check out his bio below and come enjoy the show. Bio: "I am a scientist and I have studied NDEs for decades. I have lectured on this topic in the US and Europe. My latest book on NDEs is called “Impressions of Near-Death Experiences” and it in fact is a compilation of hundreds of quotes from experiencers. It was published by IANDS and you can see my key note speech on their website http://www.iands.org (scroll down a bit). I consider NDErs the best tutors in my life. The quotes will give listeners a good impression of what NDEs are. I would be able to give many examples. The quotes are categorized under a broad spectrum of major headings, including: Out of the Body, Veridical Observations (i.e. verifiable out-of-body observations that give circumstantial evidence that NDEs are real), Unconditional Love, the Life Review, Distressing NDEs, Why Are We on Earth?, and Aftereffects. The principal idea that emerges is that ""We are ONE and LOVE binds us"". This unconditional love is there for everyone, without exception. My previous books on NDEs are “Essence of Religions” and “Messages from the Light”. I live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and recently I have become board member of IANDS. "

2024.04.27 01:42 Party-Republic2076 Never wasting my money or time at the 231 Dairy Queen again

Apparently a 2 for $5 drink and burger is too complicated to handle, because I never got my burger after 25 minutes.
Tried to do the survey on my receipt, it wouldn't work. Tried to find their corporate phone number, but the Dairy Queen website also doesn't fucking work.
Would have brought it up at the store, but nobody was at the counter, but after seeing a few other customers complain and the manager's response was to give a generic apology and then chew out employees (including a cashier over an order they didn't even take), I just walked out.
Store was dirty as hell too, I mean even my soda cup had fucking dried ice cream on it.
I guess this is a fair warning to anyone wanting to get food there - if you want it, your best bet is to probably go in the back and just make it yourself. Odds are, the manager will be talking down to a minimum wage worker over some shit out of their control and won't even notice you.

2024.04.27 01:35 JasontheWriter What Google Waiting a Week to Announce the End of the Update Should Teach Us

Full disclosure upfront—I'm an owner of an HCU-destroyed website that was dumb enough to believe there was hope in this last update. I'll spare you the rant about how we genuinely cared about our readers, worked hard to bring value to the internet, etc. etc. because what's the point? I share this disclosure just so you know that yes, this post will have some emotion in it, but I'm hoping it also shares some lessons.
I would have posted this on our website but we have been labeled as unclean...err, unhelpful...so I wanted to post it somewhere that it might actually get some eyes.
First, the news you may or may not be aware of. The Google update ended a week ago, but Google waited until today, a week later, (you know, the day AFTER their earnings call) to share that with the community.
Here's what I feel like this can teach us.

Lesson #1 - Google cares about Google.

Look, I'm not going to hate on them for this. Seriously. They're a company. They can make their own decisions. And if they want to choose to make decisions that help them while hurting others, fine. They owe me and the rest of us nothing.
That said, I think it's worth pointing out how scummy I think this move was. You have thousands of site owners (and their employees) on pins and needles trying to see if they're going to be able to pay their bills next month. Yes, some of them are spammers. Yes, some of them tried to cut corners and got caught. But there are a lot of people who didn't who were decimated. And even the ones who tried to get ahead still have families and mouths to feed.
The consistent message is always "wait till the update is done to make any big changes." Fine. But why on Earth wouldn't you let site owners know immediately when the update is finished, you know, like you always have since the dawn of time? Why not give us every second possible to try and save our businesses? Many of us are up against a wall with the clock ticking.
Again, you get to do whatever you want and owe us nothing. But also again, I'm pointing out that choosing to hide this from the community to protect your earnings call (my assumption) is just awful from a human being standpoint.
The only conclusion I'm left to draw is that Google cares about Google only. (Yes, I know many of you have known this for a long time; I'm just slow sometimes).

Lesson #2 - Google thinks the SERPs are great, which is important.

If you listened to or read some quotes from the earnings call yesterday, Google is happy with the results.
A Google spokesperson said, “The updates led to larger quality improvements than we originally thought..."
What does this mean? It means that if your site got smashed by the HCU (like ours), Google doesn't want you to rank. It doesn't necessarily mean your site is garbage, but it does mean that Google doesn't want you to rank.
I no longer, not even for one second believe their goal is to show the best quality search results. I believe their goal is to make the most money and to show the results that facilitate that (yes again, I know many of you realized this a while ago but I drank the Kool-Aid for longer and somehow believed hard work and helping to support their ecosystem would pay off).

Lesson #3 - I am an idiot.

This last lesson is probably more of a therapy session for me to share, so feel free to skip it. I am an idiot. I let the powers that be at Google gaslight me over and over again to believe that if we just keep creating great content, we'd be rewarded. I believed they cared about us and wanted us to be part of their growth to the top. Just hang on a little while longer!
Well, two years later...here we are.
Should I have realized all of this sooner? Absolutely. But...as stated...I am an idiot.
Sadly, I don't think I'm alone. I even watched a video yesterday talking about how most of Google's Publisher Success Stories that they sent out camera crews and writers to do articles on got smashed with these updates. I find irony in this but no solace.

What Do I Expect to Happen Next

For me, thankfully percentages work the way they do so Google can continue to take massive percentages from our traffic even though that only equates now to a few users. The pain is a great reminder of my naivety.
For the industry, here's what I predict:

What I Hope Happens

I WISH Bing would get their act together. If there were ever a market opportunity to move, this is it. If someone knows Mr. Microsoft or that ole Paper Clip Guy, tag them. Two steps to success. Step one—Remove the clutter from your interface. Think Facebook, not Myspace. Step Two—Start running ads to migrate users over.
In the past, my "what I hope happens" would be that Google would get back on the right path and everything would be great. I was Team Google for so, so long. Sadly, I don't see that as an option anymore. And yes, for the umpteenth time, I know they don't care.

Hi everyone.
Been wanting a EUC for a few years and I finally got the chance to purchase one. Best contender seems to be the Begode Master 4.
I’m just wondering what’s the difference with past iterations? I’ve been looking online but not finding much. Not even Begode’s website has this information. Most I could find was in AliExpress where it points that there is a new aluminum chassis (Why do we need a chassis in the first place?).
I’d appreciate if anybody could point out the actual differences and why they’re there.

2024.04.27 01:09 SnooChickens1183 Just starting out need some tips!

Hello everyone.
So I’ve recently been taking an interest in coding and have been trying to learn a little bit. I’ve came up with the idea that I want to create a website that I can later monetize. I’ve been thinking about building something similar to Omegle but with memberships and things of that nature. Now I’m not set on that it’s only an idea but what would be the best programming language to create something like this. How would I create the p2p video chats as well?
I’m a finance guy not a computer scientist so I’m pretty clueless on website building but I’m willing to take the time to learn and master it. Any tips and things I should know before starting?

Open vs. Enclosed Car Hauling
Are you torn between open and enclosed car hauling for transporting your vehicle? It’s a common dilemma for many car owners, each option offering its own set of advantages and considerations. In this guide, we’ll explore the differences between open and enclosed car hauling and how Broadway Auto Transport can help you make the best choice for your vehicle transport needs.

Understanding Open and Enclosed Car Hauling

Open Car Hauling

Open car hauling involves transporting vehicles on open-air trailers, where they are exposed to the elements. This is the most common and cost-effective method of car hauling, suitable for everyday vehicles and short to medium-distance transport.

Enclosed Car Hauling

Enclosed car hauling utilizes enclosed trailers to transport vehicles, providing protection from weather elements, road debris, and other hazards. This method is preferred for high-value, classic, luxury, or exotic vehicles that require extra care and protection during transport.

Which Is Better: Open or Enclosed Car Hauling?

The choice between open and enclosed car hauling depends on several factors, including:

Budget

Open car hauling is typically more budget-friendly than enclosed hauling due to lower operational costs. If cost is a primary concern and your vehicle is of standard make and model, open hauling may be the preferred option.

Vehicle Value and Sensitivity

If you’re transporting a high-value or sensitive vehicle, such as a classic car, luxury vehicle, or exotic sports car, enclosed hauling provides an extra layer of protection against potential damage. The added peace of mind may justify the higher cost for owners of such vehicles.

Weather Conditions and Route

Consider the weather conditions and route when deciding between open and enclosed hauling. If you’re transporting your vehicle through inclement weather or over long distances with potential exposure to road debris, an enclosed trailer offers superior protection for your vehicle’s exterior.

Personal Preferences

Ultimately, the decision between open and enclosed hauling comes down to personal preferences and priorities. Assess your vehicle’s value, your budget, and your comfort level with potential risks to make an informed choice.

How Broadway Auto Transport Handles Open and Enclosed Car Hauling

Broadway Auto Transport offers both open and enclosed car hauling options to meet the diverse needs of their customers. Here’s how they approach each method:

Open Car Hauling

Broadway Auto Transport utilizes modern open-air trailers operated by experienced professionals for cost-effective and efficient transport of standard vehicles. Despite the open exposure, they prioritize safety and secure handling to ensure that vehicles arrive at their destination in excellent condition.
